Foolish Heart Poem by Sheryl Barison

Foolish Heart

Did I ever tell you
This feeling I had?
I was deeply offended
By the pain you made.
Still, my love remains.
Never lessen, nor change.

Whenever I'm with you,
My heart is aching with doubt.
But when you are out of sight,
Slowly, it kills me with fright.
How could I forget the anguish of losing you?
If I have nothing without you.

It's formidable to accept it was.
Knowing that there is now someone amidst us.
I have learnt to live with you by my side.
Without you, I'd rather die.
Maybe I shall bear the pain.
Instead of seeing you go and letting my life be in vain.
