The images in these verses are strong, just like the subjects they depict! Nice poem.

I found this poem different everytime I read it four times to be precise. I didn't find repetition, quite the opposite in fact an old piece for the present time. Regards. Craig.

this is absolutely amazing. i haven't read something this good in a long time. you don't have to write modernly for the modern to understand you. but the words you use make it seem like an ancient prophecy being uncovered and shown to the world. a warning to the innocent from a man called hate.10! ! !

I think the repetition is much like a stripping away. The peeling away from that which had one time appealed. Interesting poem none the lest. I see nothing festive about it. Nor a completion of the act of removal either.

I like the personification; how love becomes hates enemy and not its opposite and how hate is depicted as frustration and agony more than unwillingness.

Hi Eyan - The battle of 'Good v Evil' is perrennial. It is a Friut of the Spirit LOVE combatting a Work of the Flesh HATE. This is a daily battle in every human psyche. Every Human has FREE WILL - We can let God's Holy Spirit of LOVE subjugate HATRED and LOVE can reign in our Hearts. V 1 Describes HATE and V 2 describes LOVE. V 3 We can't blame the Environment or Satan we can (with God's assistance) be 'Masters of our own Destiny' and chose LOVE rather than HATE. Nicely structured and worded poem. Your in Poetry - JOHN.
