This poem seems to say a lot about experience does it not? Experience that permits you to see directions you no longer wish to take, or places you can’t go back to. Experience that makes you feel alone on a journey and yet liberated. And the poem flows splendidly as well, very nicely done.

Indeed, William - it is not the one that tries to tether us but the one who lifts us up that will show us where we belong. We were meant to soar... and personally, I'd rather be lost in the big blue than unwittingly and unfortunately grounded. Call me crazy, but I want the one that makes 'over the moon' something more than a cliche expression. Well presented piece. I could go on about it for a while - which is to say I rather like it. : ] Christine

William, or Icarus...? I love this poem, and am deeply stirred by your raw emotion. Keep up your amazing work. Effie.

A spare and eloquent write, the form linked to the emotion. Pain and art are oft linked - you limn this connection, in this eloquent work. - Will

This is so sad William. How many times in life do we have to release something dear...to hold onto something more so...and how devastating when we realize we can never have it back. I love this one for so many reasons.: o) bj
