Fly - In - The - Bottle Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Fly - In - The - Bottle

Wittgenstein's
fly in the bottle
is really a simplified
version of Plato's
allegory of the
prisoners in the
cave who, in
mistaking the
shadows on the
wall for the true
reality, remain
chained by
their senses
to empirical necessity.

The phrase
‘the eye of the mind'
comes from Plato.
