Fly Away Poem by William Kofoed

Fly Away

Rating: 5.0

First thing this morning
When I awoke
Saw out my window
The moon quarter full
Sitting on the mountain
Out so very close
Calling out to me
Come fly away
Come up the mountain side
And on me fly away
Over the country wide
Leave behind your worldly cares
Leave behind your worries
And on me fly away
Before the break of day
Nighttime air is full of magic
Many things may be
Upon the moon you may fly
Thru the starlit sky
