Sorrow of the past! ! Hope for the future. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
This is literature. You know the type of writing I refer to- -the kind you can read under the name of Robert Frost, Maya Angelou, Emily Dickenson. There's such a powerful truth in this in lines so graceful and lovely. And it touches the emotions of the reader with such finesse. 10+++++++++++++++++ and onto my fav list
Part 3 “I fret over what's happening tomorrow” The great men of the yore, who lived in India, lived a live of astute penance and could overcome the “fret” over tomorrow. Great men like Mahatma Gandhi could overcome fear. That is why he could travel around the world in just his loincloth, regardless of the inclement weather. Again, on being shot at, he uttered just, “hey ram”..., having full control over not only his soul, but on his lips too...
Part 2 I'm scared of what is to come Those fragile flowers have more dare” This is true about man. But, flowers: Wind comes to shake them too” but they do not understand the meaning of fear. But, “There's no soul, unscathed by sorrowl” “But they glow, come what may” we should learn to grow out of fear, like the flowers.
Hi Nosheen, A poem with wonderful insight into the question of life and death, which for ages, man has been inquisitive about. “Flowers are meant to whither” But are blissfully unaware what is in store the very next moment. They live in the glorious childish abandon, that keeps their lives blessed. But, man thinks. Therefore he is! And just because he thinks, his thoughts makes his life miserable.
Flowers are meant to wither But they smile blissfully unaware I'm scared of what is to come Those fragile flowers have more dare.......outstanding conceptualiazation. This is really a beautiful poem on flower and life having an insightful inscription. Thanks for sharing.10
Wind comes to shake them too There's no soul, unscathed by sorrow/// beautiful poetic expression
Flowers are meant to wither/But they smile blissfully unaware.......so true! An adorable piece of poetry emitting engaging fragrances! The poem is so short but highly expressive with illustrious rhythm and rhyme....10
Yet, though short lived, flowers could come again and again as season changes. This is probably the reason why they are more daring. Whereas, our life, when terminated goes to another dimension, a life after death. Beautifully written, as always. To my Poem List.
Let the future remain hidden, live the moment in its fullness. Brilliant
What a beautiful poem imbued with a great message and wisdom. Our life like flowers is ephemeral. Some could shine in an instant and spread goodness and make life beautiful. Flower, however, is much more short lived yet they can spread their fragrance and beauty that could linger in our minds.
The flowers we see are blissfully unaware of tomorrow. A wonderful poem Nosheen, putting flowers first.
But they smile blissfully unaware...loved the contrast. A very nice poem. Loved it.5 stars! !
