Such a lively poem on one of my favourite flower Champaka wherein through the poem er can feel the vibrant fragrance in its absence too. The poet Dr. Geeta has also corelated this flower to Radha krishna. Thsnks for another great poem. No words to describe.
Indeed Champak flowers have a heady fragrance...! It can be enjoyed even from a distance! The smell reaches our nostrils with every passing breeze! We had a big Champak tree in my ancestral house! This tree had thick leaves and nice foliage. As children we used to sit in its shade and play! Your beautiful poem has revived all those sweet memories in me! Thank you Geeta for sharing!

It is right that....The Bees respect the Champaka / For she is their Goddess; / They do not fly up the tree, Nor disturb these royal flowers, " ....because they adore and respect Radhika, the mother of Goddess who was fond of Champaka flowers very much.
