Hibiscus is commonly grown in South India. Is it the only flower that grows and blooms in S.E. Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh? I never knew this. Thank you for the information. In kerala, it grows in abundance in many houses and is a flower adorned by the Goddesses in temple. Thank you Siddhartha for stopping by to read my flower poem. I appreciate.

Hi, Geeta! I read within this last week about the healthful benefits of Hibiscus tea. And Hibiscus has beautiful flowers which I see a lot of here where I live. Your description, with the thoroughness I associate with you, brings to mind the visual thoroughness of Georgia O'Keefe's flower paintings, though her particular subjects were the Iris and Datura flower from what I recall. It strikes me again how much beauty there is in our world. A single flowercan ravish us, one of so many, and that many a small fraction among so many species. May we never lose the capacity to glimpse and appreciate beauty. Glen

Absolutely right! May we never lose the capacity to glimpse and appreciate beauty. Hibiscus is a very beautiful flower. The red Hibiscus is used for worship. I have a hibiscus - bright yellow in my garden. Whenever it blooms, i become so joyful that i feel that the day would be filled with happiness and good luck. Thank you Glen for your wonderful appraisal.

It is wonderfully written Geeta. I am not usually a plant person but when you write about them I feel love for these flowers and love for nature. Thank you.

Not being a plant person, still, you have taken the trouble to read the poem. So generous of you.! Once you attune yourself to Nature - flowers or trees, you can really feel the divine presence. Thank you Ayman.
