Soon after flowers blossom across Lucy's habitat
As plants put on an evergreen blanket
Cattle begin to demonstrate theatre
Pawing, bellowing, and leaping for pleasure
Stimulated by bountiful pasture
And suitable weather
Shepherds start to feel the test of freedom
That their householders entitled them
Dressing clean, they tend to be a harbinger of hopes
Giving out best wishes cards to the peeps
In the early morning of the year
Next to the crow of the rooster
Girls take the footsteps of boys
To sing and dance melody of cheers
To get the blessing of elders
Whom sat proudly wearing special day costumes
Kinfolk visit each other
Bestowing Adey Abeba flower
Signal of best wish exchange
Of love, health, and long age.
