This made me remember 9/11. As I watched in horror, I thought offices were exploding, because paper was drifting down...and then I realized that it was people...'plummeting to the ground to spread...flesh and blood drops...' And I could not say that I was absent that day either.
This is an exceptional poem which pens rage with great power and asks questions meant to shock a complacent readership. Your final line is brutal in its impact and the whole piece is superbly written. love, Allie xxxx
