Fleetingly Whole Poem by Jayne Doe

Fleetingly Whole

Those who don't know
Say that it goes
Drifting Away
With a drop of time

But Those who've cried
With last goodbyes
Know that it stays
Even if it will change

From day to day
Night to night
Sometimes it's fleeting
Feeling alright

Whilst other times
It's all that's there
With a tear in the heart
A hole in the soul

That missing piece
That will never be found
Though you know exactly
Where it is
And where it will
Forever be

From time to time
It seems to visit
With a memory
And the feeling it brings-

But only for a moment.
