Fleeting Thoughts
This morning I was lying in my bed,
thinking poetic thoughts before the dawn.
Some wondrous lines of verse ran through my head,
but when I try recalling them, they're gone.
Wow, I understand this completely! I do the very same, often, rather frustrating this growing older! ! !
