Totally love misty clouds coming down upon the mountains, it does make them seem mysterious. Great imagery, Vijay! Can picture the flame of the forest in my mind along with the monkeys jumping from tree to tree, massive rocks and beetles. Love this poem! RoseAnn

A well paced rhythm that mimics the flow of the flames of the forest. The impact on the scene is well handled and could even be expanded further.

Love the vivid imagery in this piece. I like the meter of your first three lines which conjures a stealthy, creeping, slow, cautious movement. The next two lines build up the suspense for me and really ties nicely to create a unity of theme in the first five lines, from mist to drizzle to threatening downpour, denoting worsening conditions. That is in direct contrast to the last five lines denoting a thing of joy and wonderment. The middle seven lines is where it got a little confusing for me. From threating downpours to singing birds is quite a contrast, a shock even. 'Water falls so ferocious' I am not sure if I should value that as good or bad with all the contrast going on in the middle with the monkeys jumping from tree to tree; but I guess the rain does eventually fall unable to out the flame of the forest or what we call the flambouyant in the tropics :) . Beautiful.

Your use of personification is what stands out most in this poem. I like it that you utilised this poetic device in your poem. A good tool to excellent poetry.
