What an excellent imagery! One of the best and most romantic places to hold a matrimony is near the sea. The sea, waves and the sky are just amazing scenes that enhance the beauty of the mass wedding. Beautifully crafted and well expressed poem.

i don't understand my earlier comment! i must have been in a BIG hurry to eat. ok, with help from some other comments and some personal reflection, i am now thinking the use of mass nuptial ceremony was symbolic of the scene of waves covering rocks with garlands, as may happen in India and Hawaii during marriage ceremonies. i never got nor gave a garland in any of my four marriage ceremonies. did YOU? ! this shorty goes to my/our June 2017 showcase, featuring over 20 poems in June, by over 20 'female' poets. Sorry I mistook the garland as the bride, it's my old habit,

Personifying the regal rocks as a groom and the waves as a bride with joy blended with shyness and the breaks of the sea as a beats of music below the canopy of sky, Valsa you have painted the picture of this marriage so beautifully, I wish I would be a rock but wait (if you don't mind) subject to the condition that delicious dishes would be served.
