First Faith Poem by Gary James Smith

FIRST FAITH

First faith has to fracture you
To bring you to brokenness
To reveal the sinfulness of your heart
And produce a seed for God to bless
To really believe that God exists
And in the person of His own dear Son
Will provide a completeness in a so great Salvation
When we believe in the Crucified One

One step of faith leads to another
Until the pathway becomes real
clear
Here a little...there a little
As love overcomes our fear
Then as plain as day we see the light
The Light of the world is Christ
Faith has landed us upon His Word
And our Victory is new life!

Have faith and believe my brother have faith
There's a God who cares about you
And if you by faith will draw nigh unto Him
He will definitely see you through
No higher blessing can be known by a man
Than to know the Author of faith
His signature was signed by the blood of the Lamb
Believe and you shall be saved!

Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
