Arousing Nostalgia, dear poet. In the childhood, during winter mornings, how we would burn firewood to keep us warm! Nice haiku. Top score.

When I read the poem and as if I watched a movie then I know for certain that it is a good poem. Your 12 words brought me back to childhood: In addition to the fire the fireplace warmed the frozen fingers of children. Some were crying with pain, but they all had a smile at the end. Thank you
