Fireflies Revival Poem by Christopher Cariad

Fireflies Revival

Dear lady,
I see the pain behind
your crystal eyes
as we lay here under the stars,
nothing between us and the
beating of our hearts.
Fireflies surround
this field we have fallen into.
Oh if you would open up to me
I would be more than willing to relieve
you of your pain.
My dear lady,
You're a mosaic masterpiece
ready to be displayed.
I wish to lift you up and allow you to shine,
allow that pure beauty of your heart
to open up today.
Let’s show the heavens above
the sparkling glimmer,
of a love reignited
by a firefly's last cry.
