Fireflies Poem by Shane Markie

Fireflies

here come
the fireflies
with their
stacatto lights

their tiny
headlights blinking
through the
tall grass

like constellations
cut loose
from the
night sky

or flashes
of insight
that flare
for a

moment,
then
flicker
out
