A picturesque description of the final resting place...not eerie as most imagine it as!
I join you to share the sense of this deep loss. I wish there were souls and we could all be there. A deep silence surrounds me Shahziaji.
I feel as if I have visited this place which is kept so beautiful with a serene ambience! It is where great souls sleep! Among them I see two sepulchres where your parents rest in peace which I assume, you frequent with flowers in hand and prayers in your heart! ! Sweet poem! !
Two graves there... Keeping your joys. And their joys and hopes and dreams may reach destiny. Ameen
A delightful garden where peace does exist. so many souls are taking eternal rest waiting for eternal abode. A beautiful write.

May God rest their souls in peace. A visit brings memories of best of times with them. Truth of life is those who live must live and they wished so.
May their Souls rest in peace...We can only pray that. Touching lines. Two graves there have my joys keep In which my parents peacefully sleep All those who are lying there May God rest their souls in peace! Lovely poem Shahzia...

Have been there. Also visited officially the living graveyard- Kot Lakhpat. No lakhpatis seem to live there.Victims of feudalism.Though the foods were good in Lahore.Women cover their faces with hijabs and naqabs have seen. When you want to speak Punjabi they run away or tend to be in hurry and when in Arabic- they either do not understand or want that you speak Punjabi/Urdu.Amidst graveyards I feel for the women whose freedom of speech and womanhood are in graves whose name are also Firdausis. They live in austerity. No marigold, roses, seasonal blossoms for them.Great penning yours.
