There are men who are born for certain times in history. Churchill was desperately needed by Britain and the allies- -his speeches uplifted the spirits of a people and a world being pummeled by Evil. I do not know what je would have done for history in another age or guise but I thank God we never had ro try. Excellent poem - it certainly stirred me! ! !

Some people resemble closely to some others. However your chance encounter with a Churchill like figure in the bus brought in you memories of the contrast between Churchill's heydays and his not so fine days! Interesting reflection!

Brings back memories of the last Churchill film. His finest hour was when he was talking to the public on the subway. His not finest hour was when he wasn't reelected. Great reflection on success...and then failure.
