Finally We Talk Poem by Ray Hansell

Finally We Talk

Rating: 5.0

I finally got the chance
To hear her golden voice
It was not by luck
It was totally by choice

I had her phone number
All I had to do was call
For one reason or another
All I did was stall

One day I got a text from her
Completely a surprise
That was all it took
For me to finally decide

So, I hit the call button
Then I heard it ring
When I heard her voice
I could hear the angels sing

I heard the southern accent
As she answered the phone
Her voice so crystal clear
Like a perfect sounding tone

We filled the hour with chit-chat
Like we've known each other for ever
As the conversation rolled on
It simply just got better

Thousands of miles between us
But she sounded like she was right next door
Thousands of miles apart
Yet, still wanting to hear some more

But the ice has now been broken
Like rivers flowing to the sea
I'm so glad she took the time
To sit and talk with me

It was a delightful conversation
Many topice discussed
I know we will talk again
With me that is a must

Thousands of miles of gap between us is not a distance today. We still talk as we are in near. A nice poem is very brilliantly penned.
