Finally I've found love
The love that I've been looking for
And wanting to experience
All of my life
Unconditional love
Bilateral love
Love that traverses distance and time
How can I shun it
And throw it away
Because of societal norms
And traditions
Let me live for myself at least once
I'm always caring for everyone else
Do I not deserve a little love and cherishing?
Do I not deserve
To sing to my own tune
To dance in the rain
To bask in the glorious sunshine
Of your love?
Life's too short for me not to love you
In this lifetime
And who knows if there will be a tomorrow?
