Finally, Bloom Poem by Angela Bontle Ditumiso

Finally, Bloom

After months of constant darkness
Some of which she had been searching for light
She woke up with half a burning sun in her chest
She ran into the ocean
To kill the light, to kill the warmth
Out of not knowing how it is to feel alive anymore
