You really hit the nail here, my dear. If only- -at the appropriate time in our life- -we would meet again those we once were close to but for various reasons have gone separate ways. It would be closure to actually say good-bye, wouldn't it? To feel that the love or the friendship was worth more than a sudden disappearance without a word said. To tell him or her they meant a lot at that time and how it would have been better for both him and yourself if he had left a good memory behind than shuffling away without a word.
