But then you succeed in making a parallel between the two - BIG and SMALL are bound by the same cosmic law, and cosmic fate is equally illustrated by both events. This is heady stuff cleverly expressed. BTW The Alexandrine is the essential line form of classical French poetry, comparable to Blank Verse in English. But your poem is not metered in this way.So what do you mean by Alexandrine? ? I'm curious.

Er, I'm a bit lazy describing verse forms! My natural rhythm is a three beat or six beat system which is employed by some modern French poets, such as Perse, which is a disguised form of the more traditional Alexandrine of Corneille and Racine. To be honest I wasn't too sure what form best described this. Perhaps Free Verse would have been more accurate in this case. Thanks for your comments.
