I have read poems of suffering this evening but the last line of this one is a breath of the Spirit redeeming the time.
The fifth stanza with the prominence of the color blue caps the previous lovely imagery in stanzas 1-4. And why not celebrate old age? We must all endure it, no choice - it's fate. So surprise the angels who grieve for us, show them we are really happy to embrace this last stage of our lives of change and then join them in a region of permanent delight.
