Final Dance Poem by Leanna Page Markgraf

Final Dance

Our love is complicated
It's always been that way for us.
Just when I let you in
You completely lose my trust.

I wanted to believe you.
All the sweet words you spoke.
Every time you said you loved me
Now it feels just like a joke.

Every time you mess up
I hope you'll change your ways.
Maybe in another lifetime
we'll have a chance again someday.

I'm tired of hurting
and crying alone all the time.
How can you promise forever
If you're not even mine.

I wish you all the best
but I can't give you another chance
This is my final good bye
This was our final dance.
