Here I go again! open Mouth, disengage brain.
Words that tumble out unchecked and with the velocity
of a renegade comet.
Good advice disregarded, ploughing on regardless.
My mouth is not my heart, and my heart is not my mouth..
I mix the two up too many times.
Speaking from my heart sometimes sounds different in my head,
and as to how it enters your ears.
Sometimes how I act, feels differently in my heart
as to how it looks to you.
My filter sprinkler must be blocked…
My words are scattering everywhere...
A deluge of inappropriate thoughts
drown my good intentions…..
I guess we all been there uttering something we shouldn't just blurting it out and regardless of age too. A well written and superbly enjoyable poem Lodigiana telling us how it is and probably destined to be, for i believe we'll never truly learn, for it's part of being human, just the way we're made. To err is human and a bigmouth too! ! ! Five loud, proud and bold as brass, brash stars. Take care and I wish you well. Shaun.x.

Hi Shaun...Oh my goodness sometimes it's just impossible to stop words tumbling out..I have improved as I have aged not quite like a good wine more like a ripe cheese.and rather than a lovely after taste there is a bit of a whiff afterwards.! But what I hope is that I speak with kindness as that is always the intention.always kindness. So pleased you enjoyed it and I hope it brought a wry smile to a fellow bigmouth'! Wishing you always well my friend. Lodigiana x
