When we are caught in boat in the middle of a stormy sea, we fear of the impending end. We seem to focus on the storm and its wrath on us. It is in a moment like this we need to shift our focus on the One who calmed the sea. Even the wind and the sea listen to Him. The One who gave His life for us is greater than the one waiting at the door to finish us. Nothing can come between us and the love of God and the One who had suffered the stripes and wounds - even overcome death - to set us free. Focus on the Healer, not on our circumstances.
I am touched by the last two stanza of your poem. I am moved by your writing, Chris. Let's keep praying for His mercy and love.
