Fighting For Right To Be Happy Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Fighting For Right To Be Happy

She's crying throughout this lonely night
Heart-broken over a stupid fight
He's drinking it up out of spite
Lonesome lovers losing tonight
She's carelessly sleeping the night away
He's frivolously fighting come what may
Sleepless night of broken dreams
For this loneliest of teams
Cry what she may tonight and yesterday
Drink all thru the night and all of today
Sleeping listlessly dreaming carelessly
Two lonesome lovers bonding endlessly
Lovers forsaken like Romeo and Juliet
Sparring fighters forgiven in moment of regret
Two lost souls on life's dreary journey
Fighting for the right to be happy
