Lay me down gently in fields of green velvet
Resting beneath the blue gossamer sky
Where I may gaze upon clouds of white cotton
Shimmering dragonflies floating on by
Mingling there amongst red satin petals
Yellow and silver, with gold all around
Captured by nature’s soft breathtaking beauty
Gracing the heavens, adorning the ground
There shall I tarry in peaceful devotion
Breathing the fresh and sweet pine-scented air
Feeling the warmth of the sun cast around me
Free from all worry and heartache and care
Come, won’t you join me, to feel all this splendour
There in your mind where such fantasies dwell
Dance with me, sing with me, and then surrender
Each of your cares, and fall under my spell

A faultless poem and concept, an offering to ponder and accept, peace and serenity painted perfectly.
Splendid in lyrical charm and expressive of love unbound.. It is a poem that can be one of the best 10 by you and so I am giving a clean 10 out of 10.
Well, well, well, Didn't know you were an Enchantress, as well. This poem-painting has fascinated me, it's beauty, description, pictorial magic thru words. I could even smell the pine- scented air, Delightfully travelled, not paying our fare. A Gem of a poem, thank you
Your beautiful, descriptive words of such beauty has me drifting there with you. I esp. loved your last stanza, being able to let go of all your cares~ if one dares! A very beautifully written poem, indeed. You always have what another does need.
Beautiful words in a Field of Green velvet. your writing is always extremely graceful
Breathtaking poem. the description is so vivid that the readers can feel that we are there with you.
Away from the fever and the fret of here and now...Really ecstatic....isn't it?
