Australians distrust words:
words, being mere symbols, are not real.
Australians distrust emotions:
emotions, being non-tangible, are not real.
Australians distrust thought
which being a mixture of words and emotions
is worse still
like two fractured members that breed less than their parts.
Australians trust nothing -
which you can neither feel nor argue against
and, being beyond feeling and thought,
is a kind of religion.
