Amitava, fascinating celebration of light! We don't have anything as wonderful as this in the U.S.! ! We only have a light parade for Christmas, all the floats are filled with lights and travel downtown, bands play and march, it's really nice. However, I like your celebration and the reason and meaning behind it! People from all walks of life, enjoying one another and the festivities, no evil, no greed, all of one accord. It is truly amazing as is this beautiful poem bringing it all alive for me! Candles, lamps, fireworks, - the light symbolizing the lightening of the mind. Removing all darkness to proceed towards the Divine. I love these lines, your poem gathers everything together, illuminates the spirituality of the Divine, how totally perfect an occasion to celebrate! I give you ten 10's for this times a million!
