Feeling Low Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Feeling Low

Rating: 5.0

Was it something someone said? what was the situation? what was the trigger?
Light at the end of the tunnel, pulling me through, calm the stormy weather.
Dark thoughts, anxious feelings, mind full of worry.
Body shaking, no control, trying to stop, not in a hurry.
Is this the end, trapped in my minds cage searching for the key, please release me, please let me be free?
Smiles behind the mask, when I'm feeling low who do I tell? who will ever know?
Deep breathes, count to ten, things will look better in the morning?
Friends, family, strangers with listening ears, what's the network to see me through, the safety net to happier days.
It's ok not to be ok, I tell myself, the message says.
Get out, face the world, don't let it beat you.
You are stronger than you think, your life means something, when I'm feeling low, I tell myself where to go, wrap myself with love, remember self-care.
Feeling low? Just say no, make yourself whole, for the darkest hour is before the dawn, you CAN make it through

You are stronger than you think, your life means something, when I'm feeling low, I tell myself where to go, wrap myself with love, remember self-care. Feeling low? Just say no, make yourself whole, for the darkest hour is before the dawn, you CAN make it through. When depressive thoughts come, we have to fight with positive and joyful thoughts. tony
