This poem is truely beautiful. I am doing an english persuasive speech on how poetry has the power to change the world and I chose this poem on the social issue of domestic violance. THANK YOU! !

A sad story of abuse, powerfully and movingly penned. Very heartfelt with strong emotions. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.

Piercing like pain, Brave, like born again. Touched me so deeply. Never have I read such a descriptive poem on abuse, tragically real, so deeply moving. Being able to transmit physical and moral pain so perfectly. All the abused, thank you deeply. This poem has to open many hearts. It is just, it is right, it is painful but grandiose. It must be read, felt and understood. It has the power, I hope, to provoke change. Thank you.

Thank you Sandra from the bottom of my heart..This was based on a dear friends own personal suffering and her vivid recounting to me of her thoughts and feelings..but there is some positivity to be gained from all this as she did find the strength to turn and walk away and begin life anew and although never forgotten she can now move on..I hope that these words can offer some help to those going through similar trauma.Thank you once again for your kind words. xx

This is the reality of the situation many women across globe go through. If the relationship is so abusive, there is no reason to suffer silently. Find strength to go away...Your poem is one of encouragement to face the situation boldly. Kudos to you. Thanks for sharing this poem.(Part-2)

Feel the change that's taking place, see the anger on my face, see the light now in my eyes, see just how I realise. Feel me close and sense my heat, feel me gone and hear my feet Feel my strength to turn and say, ‘see my back' and walk away! - - - Part-1

A topic of leaves? ? anything to do with the cigar? ? or is it as in she/he leaves? ? to MyPoemList for its good message of encouragement and maybe hope. next time, if there is one, try saying this instead: Fuch YOU! You've hurt me for the LAST TIME. For you I'd not give one thin dime. I turn my back on you; 'tis so true. This I say now: F uck U! F uck U! ! bri ;)
