A thoughtful, insightful, incisive and meaningful poem. It vividly depicts one of the flaws of humanity. So sad but true.
The God inside is not at all pleased, instead grows restless day by day Orphans whose foster mother is the streets are fighting with stray dogs For a morsel from the heap of food-waste dumped outside the temple walls....you are creating a revoulution with your thinking....... yes all temples and churches care for the poor and not ohterwise....... thank u dear Parmeswaran......... tony
Thank you Dr. Tony Brahmin.for your elating words.Activities of man, whether it is devotion or dedication, culture or custom, should be aimed at eradication of sufferings without discrimination
The poet takes us to the real world where the needy is not noticed and served, instead people tries to TEACH THEIR MINDS that they have spent this much money for god, so god would be pleased to bless them. Let s think twice before donating to charity.WILL IT SERVE ATLEAST ONE TIME MEAL FOR A HUNGRY STOMACH! ! ! ! !
Thank you Sajin. I am thankful to you for thinking so
One school of thought says God is 'Daridra Narain' so his best worship would be to serve the poor, destitute and those who have no means to live on. This poem shows hypocrisy with regard to our religious practices. Nicely conceived and executed poem. Thanks, Sir. This also is my favourite now.
Yes Devi, you are right. It has now become a pomp and show and the target is popularity, not humanity
Its a high time to think about these offerings and this poem makes us aware of it.
Thank you Vidya. Wasting food in the name of God is pathetic when millions are starving. It's high time people had thought of feeding the starved
Powerful poetic expressions and compelling images embellished the entire write.
Thanks a lot dear poetess. Nobody can realise the fire that burns in the hearts of hungry poor except those who keep in their heart a pinch of consideration for them under humanitarian inclination
