This is simply amazing. Death is a chilling thought. There's no escape from it. You have put the feelings of every mortal being with regard to death here. This poem strikes a chord with everyone. Well-worded and well-crafted.

Fear of death is not a bad thing. It inspires us for good deeds and to do our job well in time.

Fear and angst of an impending death is beautifully relayed. The last two lines, humbly confessing the predicament of a sinner and leaving his fate to God's mercy is a provocative conclusion. Enjoyed it. Thank you. Rate 10.

It's a very good poem coming from the pen of a poet who is still young in life. But there is another way of looking at death. Perhaps you've read my poem 'Adieu'. If not, you may like to read it.

Very intense depiction of death as it takes one from life without warning. Our lives are only temporary, we don't think much about it as we do what we want, forgetting that sins are known already by God. As you have stated in your poem, 'God's mercy is my only hope of redemption'. Excellent poem Shakil! Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn
