Fear And Then Some Poem by Ludolf Dauphin

Fear And Then Some

So I choose to go
Nowhere but up
Who are you to judge me?
Even antagonized me
Holding me back

As your grasp on life
slowly slipping
unable to look anywhere but down
now standing in the doorway,
blocking my path

Move along
I don't need you
let me be free
be who I am.
What I want, and can be
Not what you want

Some of us know
Your existence is only delusional
So beneath the tide, I rise
Escaping your inner turmoil
Too weak to compromise

So you in there
Listen, I surged on devotion,
Putting out your fire
While ignited my desire

I am not scared of you
You are the weakest occupant
of the mind
The darkest hollowing hole
Consuming the heart
Denying its objective

So don't you dare tell me
what I am
what I can and cannot be
what I should and should not be
what you want me to be
That I am not good enough

Move along
Before I crush you and then some.
