The final two lines make me curious - Who is the *you* whom the poet fears? This one word sends my mind into back-story, conjuring reasons for the poet's nightmares.
Love the line, silence can be deadly, especially at night! Nicely written poem!

Dont you hate it when Fear stops in your tracks....very true when it comes to this one word...Its a delicate subject and your wrote it beautiful...thanks for the share.
Fantastic the finishing hit. Smooth the speed to touch its catastrophe. Nice.
Fear is a bunch of sinister shadows. A shadow has no substance, it's only a magnified reflection of something small, that's why in facing fear squarely we usually find it inconsequential. A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and insightfully penned with conviction. A beautiful poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
