Fatima Poem by Michael Walker

Fatima

Fatima! O Fatima!
Save our souls from Hell
Fatima! O Fatima!
Hear us at Heaven's bell.

The sun was dancing with the dawn
Upon that fateful day in May.
The angels sang a gentle song,
And then, they all began to pray.

Fatima! O Fatima!
All our passions quell.
Fatima! O Fatima!
Your secrets we will tell.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph came
To give the world a sign
That God has taken on our blame
To give sight to the blind.

Fatima! O Fatima!
Mother of Israel!
Fatima! O Fatima!
The prophet's daughter as well!

Her ransom's roses in the rain
Keep us from each bombshell;
The children offer up their pain
For all the souls who fell.

Fatima! O Fatima!
This century of sin,
Fatima! O Fatima,
Ends now, Heaven to win.
