this; sounds like what Shirley Temple might have said in one of her hit movies decades ago, if her father had left as yours did. in other words, i think this is very realistic; very childlike. it would make some readers cry i'm sure. i am too stoic? for crying, usually. i enjoyed this poem and will send it to MyPoemList. perhaps my favorite lines are these: All I could feel was the smell of sweet grass penetrating my nostrils like a cloud of smoke The mango trees swayed in sequence back and forth one, back and forth one, two, three thanks for sharing. any more poems? bri :)
