An unconventional generational shift in father son relationships. Even if it was never expressed, it reflects the change in mood and approach. Thanks a lot.

A emotions packed touching yet in a way most intriguing poem. Thus, a modern poem of the day, perhaps.

ONE: This poem which is chosen as Modern Poem Of The Day. I agree with Richard Wlodarski ´s remark This poem is A little depressing. But quite an eye opener! Be Noted that the poet died at the age of 60 years, not very old. People can die quick because of living in a too high stress-atmosphere.This is a true thought provoking poem

TWO: The title is Father but this poem could be a soliloquy. The more I think, the more the words are addressed to the self. That makes the poem be a smart poem though. Congratulations to the family of Eddy van Vliet In Belgium particular and in the world in general. Sylvia Frances Chan, Dutch Poetess.

This shows the height of insanity- 'Father. Undress yourself.... Show me what is left when you make.... love no more'. Not fit for selection.

I do not want to wait for twenty-seven more years and see how hyperpigmentation spreads, skin slackens and veins burst..........touching expression. Beautiful poem shared.

To embrace the wheel of time that moves all of our lives, perhaps at different moments on the journey, but traveling together nonetheless to a common destiny.
