This is a very powerful poem Tara. The uncompromising harshness of your description pushes many emotional buttons and leaves the reader feeling appalled and touched at the same time. Obesity is such a complex problem and you're right about the populist assumptions usually made by those cruel folk who judge without thought and condemn out of hand. The way you have used the creative pavement as a mental and emotional release for Fat Girl's depression is highly imaginative. I suspect this one is written from some experience. Excellent, very moving write. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
