Good meaningful poem. Our farmer is very poor . It’s very sad our farmers are not self sufficient.
Farmers plight is, a real lmuseries in the lives of poor farmers who worries endlessly thinking about survival of their families, Congrats to the poet ehi cares, for their lives.
Very well expressed- through the poem in 1st person and through Poet's Notes in 3rd person, the wretched condition of our 'Annadata' (giver of our grains and food i.e. farmer) has been expressed in all seriousness. All steps taken by concerned authorities to ameliorate this sad state of affairs are only cosmetic ones. We are witnessing it for many decades. Thanks, Geeta ji.
A strong shot of words on the face of those who enjoy every morsel of food out of the striving labour of the farmer whose abject poverty forces him to commit suicide...very touching...let's all pray for the betterment of those farmers...and hope a solution will be soon found...a powerful touching poem Geeta
A very powerful write that bites at farmer's plight. Farmers are backbone of any civilization. They play a vital role in our daily lives. It is incumbent on all government to undertake measures to address the plight of farmers. Magnificent piece!

Geeta, this is both a wonderful and profound poem. After reading it, I am asking- Is there any society on earth that does not value most the people and professions who are worth the least? A great poem.
So nice of you to stop by and read this tiny poem on the farmer's plight. Thank you. I really do appreciate.
The plight of the poor farmers goes unnoticed by the authorities and the governments! With the unprecedented rise in temperature recently, the farmers are leaving their cattle and livestock behind and running away to safer places! The drought in places like Lathore is driving many farmers to suicide too. This poem is an an eye opener to a crucial issue!
Valsa, thank you so much for understanding the plight of the farmers. Truly, it is a crucial issue that needs to be addressed.
