Farewell Yogi Rose
Written by: Wilfred Charles Mellers, Monday, November 21,2022
Gone are the unhappier days like yesterday;
Saddened eyes cry for no more goodbyes.
Briefly passing, yet never lasting,
This way, once, we are all simply passing.
Music was the thing that brought joy,
Times shared beyond and forwarded through my fractal reality.
Memories live on, long after we are gone,
Never forgotten, as long as your name resides on someone's lips.
The pleasure, beyond measure, was all mine.
Such occasions now bring pain to my weeping eyes.
Yet still, I find joy in the time we spent together for they were elated.
You took me to places I had never imagined.
Now new memories are tinged with sadness.
Peaceful journeys await you beyond the sky;
This world will never be the same now that you are gone.
You were a great source of inspiration,
With talents that brought such sensation.
Standing so proud, you let it all out,
Engaging in discussions, never reluctant.
Into the sky flew a bluebird.
A song was your flock, and you, the mighty shepherd.
Saddened eyes now weep on broken hearts,
For I shall always say hello and never goodbye.
The candle's flame has gone out, the wind has blown.
I am so blessed to have known you.
For people like you, there are only a few.
A true friend, indeed, you were to me.
Journey peacefully, for we shall meet again, my friend.
