9 for the Difference You Made.
9 for the price you paid.
9 for Destiny's voyage.
9 for a peaceful passage.

Rarely are roads straight; they are often curved.
The time you served was often underserved.
Choose the path that was taken;
None were left unscathed or unshaken.

Still, you tried to reconcile,
Facing all challenges with a smile.
For the truth cannot be concealed;
In time, all things are revealed.

Gone home to milk and honey,
Godspeed on your peaceful journey.
No more need to carry that heavy load;
We'll meet again somewhere down the road.

In your convictions, you stood firm,
Setting an example for the world to learn.
Together we shall rise, for divided we fall.
You fought the good fight and answered the call.

Pride and dignity were your reasons.
Freedom judged every trial for treason.
As the hammer struck the crooked nail,
Truth and righteousness will always prevail.

Your shoes, worn down, were seldom squeaking;
The freedom you sought is now speaking.
The ancestors now with you are guiding,
In their hands, your legacy is safely abiding.
