Far Too Many People Poem by Raymond Farrell

Far Too Many People

Far too many people
In religious institutions
Of varied faiths
Make a great show
Of praying
But when all the facade
Is stripped away
All they are really doing
Is approaching God
With a begging bowl
Asking for a handout.
