Far More Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Far More

Far More

Looking back at that age
Feel being out of cage.

No more am just farmer
Neither child labourer
And without uniform
Not ranked as "Officer."

See skies and beyond,
Travel, open eyes.

Hungry and thirsty
Willingly, eagle-like,
Roam and soar to all sides,
As should, be "Researcher."

Flap wings, tireless
Stop and speak, talk,
With all casts, poor or rich,
Being nomad or person in city.

Best Haven and Salem,
Are archives, libraries.

Increased my heroes
To more than what I was
Taught to learn and accept.

The son of "Water-Man"
In Kabul, changed my mind,
As did the "Two-Sword-Shah."

Then Afshin, Roudaki
Eini and Lahuti with Gorky.

String grew long
With going to Russia
And the one whom I met.

At first saw "White Demon"
Mentioned in Shahnameh.

Now, look back and smile:
"As such, they were not known! "

In Peru I added
To the names of heroes,
General of Incas, Ollantay.

Happily, when alone,
Let linger my childhood,
To picture the water, brook
Crawling like a worm or snake.

That water can be me
Brushing dried leaves.

With the Touran, Arabs,
Am beaver making dams,
Look at the Europe come
With Vikings, Sweden
And Holland to London,
All the way to Russia,
Differences they make,
Italy, Portugal, and Spain,
Shackle the Africa to Andes.

My heroes keep adding!

I burn line of limits
Of Siavash, Afshin
And Babak, to Nevsky
As well as Amaru, Katari…

Along come "Sitting Bull"
And a world shaking "Horse"
Nicknamed as: "Crazy."

In them I, easily
See Frog Lake's hero
"Wandering Spirit."

So, spit on borders
Since are the "Ism" cages!
