Far From Any Shore Poem by Sven Rhoads

Far From Any Shore

On the river once again and soon gone out to sea
Time seems to stand still on the strangest journey

Every twist and turn
Leaves a fire to burn
The bright north star
Will guide my way

I'm not a man lost in the bottle on the vacant ocean
I'm not the sweetest words that remain to be spoken

I'm searching for my home
Wherever it maybe
I will release all these stone
they're no longer part of me

Far from any shore that I've come to know
I can hear it call, the land of ice and snow
My northern heart beats for what it yearns
Where there is a fire as my love returns
Far from any shore or any horizon
The gravity of life I must be abiding
My mother moon will watch over me
As I ride the waves on this odyssey

A brand new dawn on this far journey
Brave new world, new possibilities
