Far Away Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Far Away

Well It feels like I am far away from home. Should I even start somewhere? , maybe find a place to stay. Then somehow I’ll find my way in this world. I know it’s a big world, but I’ll somehow find a place to stay. Well I never been far, far away from home before. But I’ll make it the best I can and hope to god I can start somewhere? You know I’ve never been far, far away from home before. So can I be standing still, for once a lifetime. It seems like forever, when your standing alone. Just surrounded by darkness, just no light above me. Sometimes I hear voice’s in my head, I even wonder why they are consuming me from the inside?

So I’ve never been far, far away from home. Could it be that I am too far away from home.

Can you tell me why I am standing here alone in the darkness, can you just pull me into the light?

So tell me why I am so far, far away from home?
